Automation Developer

Location: Manchester (As/when required)

Salary: £39,000 - £44,000 per annum

VIQU has partnered with an organisation undergoing a large‑scale digital transformation and are currently hiring two automation developers to help with the design and development of automated solutions. The role will focus on hands‑on development using UiPath/VB.NET and Python, but also mapping processes that can be automated.

Duties

• Build and implement automations using UiPath, Python, and other similar technologies (e.g., Power Automate).
• Analyse and map manual processes, helping to design end‑to‑end automated solutions.
• Monitor and optimise bot performance for reliability and scalability.
• Document technical specifications, processes, and best practices.
• Provide second‑line support for automation issues.
• Generate workflow and development specification documents defining the systems, data, and requirements of a process to be automated.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards (coding, data protection, security, and governance).
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for optimisation.
