Qualifications

  • Qualified electrically to a high standard through HNC or Degree level relevant qualifications.
  • Full working knowledge of Siemens and Mitsubishi PLC's.
  • Experience in automated machinery fault finding.

Controls Engineers in the North West Assemble !!!

As part of a growing technical engineering team, I am looking for a controls and automation specialist who has exceptional experience working within fast paced manufacturing environments. This will be on a site that is part of a large group of companies and they are looking for a high calibre electrical engineer who will be tasked with focussing on multiple projects upgrading, optimising and improvements across all automated assets.

What you will be doing:
  • Leading the full lifecycle design, modification and refurbishment(electrically) of automated manufacturing machinery used in the textile industry
  • Using Siemens or Mitsubishi PLC S7 / TIA Portal, GX Works
  • Design safety circuits and integrate safety control systems
  • Help the maintenance team to diagnose and resolve electrical breakdowns
  • Build configure and adapt SCADA/PLC interfaces
  • Produce and update electrical drawings as required for compliance
Qualifications:
  • Qualified electrically to a high standard through HNC or Degree level relevant qualifications
  • Full working knowledge working with Siemens and Mitsubishi PLC's
  • SCADA system experience
  • Able to produce and change electrical/wiring drawings (EPLAN)
  • Advanced fault finding and diagnostic abilities in automated machinery
  • Experience of process improvements within electrical engineering in high volume manufacturing
  • Understanding of safety systems and networked safety solutions (desirable)
