DJ Cox Limited, in partnership with GTG Training, is offering an Apprentice Autocare Technician Level 2 position in Morecambe. You will train on the job within a workshop, gain hands-on experience in servicing and repairs, and participate in block-release training weeks through GTG Wolverhampton.

Applicants should have Maths and English at GCSE 4/Level 2 or above. A full UK driving licence is not essential but preferred, and high motivation to learn is encouraged.

About The Apprenticeship

The Apprenticeship Programmes allow apprentices to work full time and earn while they learn putting theory into practice within a training environment.

You will train through GTG Wolverhampton, by attending block release training weeks, to achieve an Autocare Technician Apprenticeship qualification. Regular assessment and reviews will be undertaken within the apprentice's own workplace which aims to ensure you have the required skills to successfully complete your apprenticeship.

What Might a Typical Day in this Job look like?

You will be based within the garage workshop and will be involved in learning all aspects of vehicle repair and maintenance, including vehicle servicing, MOT preparation, removal, replacement and overhaul of major components and electrical fault diagnostics.

• Materials, fabrication, tools and measuring devices used in the automotive environment
• Inspection of light vehicles
• Diagnosing and rectifying chassis units and components
• Diagnosing and rectifying vehicle engines and component faults
• Ensuring your own actions reduce risks to health and safety
• Contributing to workplace good housekeeping

What qualifications or qualities are required?

GCSE 4/Level 2 or above in Maths, English
