Job summary

A local advocacy organisation is seeking a SEAS Advocate to provide support for autistic adults in Kent. Responsibilities include facilitating peer support groups, managing caseloads, and developing local partnerships. Candidates should have a Level 3 qualification and experience in advocacy. This hybrid role adds flexibility, accommodating some homeworking and travel. Competitive salary of £26,955.24 per annum with a fixed-term contract until March 2027.

Qualifications

  • At least one year's experience supporting or advocating with autistic adults.
  • Understanding of autism, safeguarding, and equality principles.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and managing caseloads.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop peer support groups for Members.
  • Deliver six-week Touch Base interventions and support Members.
  • Build partnerships with local organisations to raise SEAS awareness.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and assist in creating materials.
  • Attend supervision and uphold safeguarding policies.
