Job summary

GSL Education is currently recruiting for an experienced Autism Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Epsom, Surrey. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm role with an immediate start for someone dedicated to supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and helping them access learning.

You will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to foster communication and social skills, build positive relationships, and provide a safe, inclusive environment for pupils with

• Experience supporting children or young people with ASD/Autism.

• Patient, caring and understanding approach.
• Able to build strong, positive relationships with students.
• Reliable, enthusiastic and committed to full-time work.

• Interested in a temp-to-perm position and potential permanent role.

Responsibilities

• Support students with ASD to access learning and develop communication and social skills.
• Work closely with teaching staff and support team to maintain a safe, inclusive environment.
• Assist in implementing individual education plans and adaptations as directed by teachers.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the team.

The successful candidate will be supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them to access learning, develop their communication and social skills, and achieve their individual goals. You will work closely with teaching staff and the wider support team to provide a safe, positive and inclusive environment.
