Job summary

Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust is recruiting for a qualified Occupational Therapist/Nurse/SLT to support autistic adults at Bristol Autism Spectrum Service. You will undertake specialist assessments, formulate care plans and deliver targeted interventions within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy, Nursing or Speech and Language Therapy.
• Substantial post-registration experience in adult mental health or learning disabilities.
• Experience in autism service or mental health team with autism.
• Effective team player with good communication and liaison skills.
• Well organised with good administration skills.
• Empathy for individuals with mental health or neurodevelopmental disorders and ability to cope with challenging behaviour.
• Ability to cope with workload pressure and prioritise.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist assessment, formulation and intervention for autistic adults.
• Work with other professionals to advise on assessment and intervention.
• Participate in CPD, audit and training.
• Support clinical supervision of staff and students.
• Maintain accurate records and monitor workload.
• Contribute to governance processes and service development.
