Job summary

The University of Reading is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in the School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences. The project, funded by Eagles Autism Foundation, investigates sensory hyperreactivity in autistic children.

You should have MRI and preferably MRS experience, plus work with neurodivergent participants. You will prepare participants for scanning, conduct MR analyses, and report findings at conferences.

Qualifications

• PhD in Psychology or a related field is required.
• Experience with MRI and preferably MRS is essential.
• Experience recruiting or working with neurodivergent populations is desirable.
• Ability to prepare participants for MR scanning and to write reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead MRI/MRS data collection and analysis.
• Prepare and scan participants, especially autistic children, when required.
• Write up findings for publication and present at conferences.
• Collaborate with the team and manage safeguarding/DBS compliance.
