Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting Complex Needs Support Assistants in Llanelli to support pupils aged 3-19 with a range of additional learning needs, including autism and complex medical needs. The role runs 8:30am–3:30pm, term time only, with pay at £14.25 per hour and a September 2026 start date.

Qualifications

• Experience in Education or Teaching Support is beneficial but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS Check and EWC Registration (or willingness to obtain) are required.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
• Encourage communication, engagement and independence.
• Assist with sensory, creative and outdoor learning activities.
• Support daily routines and personal development.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff.
• Help create a positive and supportive learning environment.
