Job summary

Clement Mind in Cambridge is seeking a Neurodevelopmental Assessor to join our Autism and ADHD Diagnostic Service. This part-time role starts at 2 days a week and grows toward full time, for clinicians with training and practical experience in administering ADOS-2.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, conducting comprehensive assessments for children and adults, including potential use of ADI-R and DIVA-5, with supervision from experienced psychologists and opportunities for CPD.

Qualifications

  • Formal training and accreditation in the administration and scoring of the ADOS-2 and ADI-R.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience using the ADOS-2 and ADI-R.
  • Experience with DIVA-5 is highly desirable.
  • Strong clinical observation and information-gathering skills.
  • Good written communication and ability to produce clear clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake ADOS-2 assessments with children, young people and/or adults as part of autism diagnostic assessments.
  • Score and interpret ADOS-2 assessments and contribute findings to the diagnostic formulation.
  • Undertake ADI-R developmental interviews with parents, carers or family members.
  • Undertake DIVA-5 assessments as part of adult ADHD diagnostic assessments where trained.
  • Gather and integrate information from interviews, histories, questionnaires and observations.
  • Produce clear clinical documentation and contribute to comprehensive reports.
  • Present assessment findings and participate in multidisciplinary discussions.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and attend supervision and MDT meetings.
  • Engage in CPD and quality-improvement activities.

Clement Mind is looking for aNeurodevelopmental Assessor to join our growing Autism and ADHD Diagnostic Service in Cambridge.

This is a part-time role ( 2 days a week initially, growing to full time) for a clinician who already hastraining and practical experience in administering the ADOS-2 and would like to further develop their expertise in autism and ADHD assessment.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to comprehensive diagnostic assessments for both adults and children and young people. Depending on your training and experience, you may also undertake developmental interviews using theADI-R and ADHD assessments using theDIVA-5.

The role offers an opportunity to develop specialist experience in neurodevelopmental assessment while working under the clinical supervision and governance of experienced psychologists.

What you will be doing
As a Neurodevelopmental Assessor, you will:
  • UndertakeADOS-2 assessmentswith children, young people and/or adults as part of comprehensive autism diagnostic assessments.
  • Score and interpret ADOS-2 assessments accurately and contribute findings to the wider diagnostic formulation.
  • Where appropriately trained, undertakeADI-R developmental interviewswith parents, carers or family members.
  • Where appropriately trained, undertakeDIVA-5 assessmentsas part of adult ADHD diagnostic assessments.
  • Gather and integrate information from clinical interviews, developmental histories, questionnaires, rating scales, behavioural observations and collateral information.
  • Produce clear, structured clinical documentation and contribute to comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessment reports.
  • Present assessment findings and contribute to multidisciplinary diagnostic discussions.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records.
  • Attend regular clinical supervision and MDT meetings.
  • Participate in relevant CPD, service development, audit and quality-improvement activities.
What you need to have
  • Right to Work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available for this job.
  • Formal training and accreditation in the administration and scoring of the ADOS-2 and ADI-R.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience using the ADOS-2 and ADI-R.
  • Highly desirable: experience using the DIVA-5 assessment.
  • Strong clinical observation and information-gathering skills.
  • Good written communication skills and the ability to produce clear and accurate clinical documentation and reports.
  • Current DBS in place active on the Update Service
  • Experience of assessing both children and adults
  • HCPC, SWE, NMC or GMC registration in:
  • --- Occupational Therapy
  • --- Speech & Language Therapy
  • --- Registered Social Worker
  • --- Nurses (Mental Health,Child, Adult or Learning Disability)
  • --- Other relevant health or social care professions
What you can expect:
