Spencer Ogden is proud to be partnering with a leading offshore wind developer expanding its operations across Scotland. We’re seeking an experienced Authorising Engineer to play a pivotal role in ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable operations across the company’s offshore wind portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as Authorising Engineer for HV/LV electrical systems, ensuring robust safety governance and compliance.
  • Provide oversight and assurance under the Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR) framework.
  • Lead on the development, implementation, and monitoring of safe systems of work.
  • Support Authorised and Competent Persons in maintaining high standards of electrical safety and operational performance.
  • Deliver governance, audit, and continuous improvement within the company’s O&M and electrical safety processes.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in an Authorising Engineer or senior electrical safety role, ideally within offshore wind or power generation.
  • Strong understanding of WTSR, HV/LV authorisation, and electrical safety management systems.
  • Chartered Engineer (or working towards) preferred.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
