Job Title: Auditor

Salary Range: (£37,602-£51,228)(dependent on qualifications, skills and experience)

Location: Wandsworth Town Hall

Are you an experienced Internal Auditor looking to join a team that is recognised for the valuable contribution it makes to its partner organisations? If so, we would like you to apply to the South West London Audit Partnership (SWLAP).We are a shared in-house Internal Audit service covering the following London Boroughs: Kingston, Merton, Richmond, Sutton, and Wandsworth.

Role Overview
  • Delivering flexible and responsive audits, offering independent evaluations of risk management, internal controls, and governance across a range of council services.
  • Building relationships with colleagues across Councils, including senior staff and external partners, is crucial, and you should possess the confidence and credibility to do this well.
  • Support junior auditors and participate in internal projects and training initiatives.
Who we are looking for
  • Experience within Local Authorities is preferred, but not essential. We\u2019re interested in seeing how your audit background, skills, and expertise can benefit our partnership.
  • We value natural curiosity, sharp attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.
  • You will demonstrate integrity, professionalism and flexibility.
  • You will be able to manage a busy workload and adapt to changing priorities.
  • You will be a team player that actively contributes to the development and success of the service.
  • We’re looking for candidates who ideally have experience using data analytical tools such as Power BI to support our ambition to become a more digitally enabled and insight-led team.
  • Candidates should have a solid auditing foundation and actively support internal audit principles and standards. We encourage professional studying in a CCAB accountancy, CMIIA, CIA, or QIAL qualifications.
