Job summary

Cooper Parry’s East Midlands office is hiring an Audit Trainee to gain hands-on experience delivering statutory audits for a diverse client base. You’ll start your ACA journey with strong support from the team and work across a tight-knit group from day one.

You’ll balance study with client work, join a collaborative environment, and help prepare financial statements using our audit software while meeting deadlines. Training begins September 2027 with clear assessment dates.

Qualifications

• Graduates: completed degree and at least 3 A Levels at BBC, including one numerical or business subject.
• School Leavers: same A Level requirements.
• Ability to balance professional study with work commitments.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and documenting client information (invoices, bank statements, payroll reports).
• Assessing accuracy and reliability of financial data.
• Attending client year-end stocktakes (weekends/Christmas period).
• Talking with client finance teams to understand systems and processes.
• Assisting in preparing financial statements using audit software.
• Working in small teams to perform financial testing and contribute to audit reports.
• Meeting deadlines and supporting the team to deliver high-quality work.
