Job summary

Saffery is recruiting trainees for a four-year training contract to study towards the ACA qualification. No prior experience necessary, with a structured programme combining tuition and on-the-job learning across audit engagements.

Selected trainees join a supportive, collaborative culture and will gain exposure to diverse clients. Comprehensive development, mentorship, and ongoing assessment are provided to help you succeed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 120 UCAS points from your top 3 A Levels or Highers (or equivalent).
• A minimum of 6 (or B) in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent).
• We welcome AAT qualified applicants and provide ACA syllabus exemption pathways if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Take through the stages of an audit from planning to completion.
• Support audit engagements for diverse clients by testing financial information and key controls.
• Prepare clear audit documentation and working papers.
• Work with client data using accounting systems and audit tools.
• Assist with planning and fieldwork on client sites and in the office.
• Build relationships with clients to understand their business.
• Identify differences in financial information and help deliver high-quality audit work to deadlines.
• Learn through a structured training programme and mentorship while pursuing ACA qualification.
