Job summary

Grant Thornton Ireland is seeking motivated individuals to join our expanding Audit & Assurance team. You will plan and conduct audits for a diverse client portfolio, liaise with clients onsite, and communicate with offshore contacts.

Training towards ACCA qualification is provided, with opportunities for career progression and a competitive remuneration package. Strong academic achievement and proficiency in Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint are required, along with leadership and teamwork

Qualifications

  • Possess a strong academic record (minimum 2.1 award in a third level qualification).
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to communicate ideas, lead teams and collaborate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule audits for a diverse client portfolio.
  • Liaise with onsite clients to obtain information and resolve queries.
  • Manage client communications via phone and email, including offshore contacts.
  • Investigate audit issues and propose solutions or corrective actions.
  • Prepare reports detailing issues and recommended actions; contribute to assignments on client premises.

The role:

We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our expanding Audit & Assurance team. You will be self‑motivated, capable of working on your own initiative and have the ability to plan, control and complete audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients. We work with clients across numerous industries and on a global basis.

By joining our Audit & Assurance team, you will have direct access to partners and the ability to provide a valued opinion within the team. Main Responsibilities:

Through your training you will gain the professional ACCA qualification while undertaking a variety of work, including:

  • Planning and scheduling audits;
  • Liaising onsite with clients to obtain relevant information in order to resolve any queries;
  • Dealing with clients primarily on phone and email as they are offshore;
  • Investigating all audit issues to arrive at a solution or proposal;
  • Preparing reports detailing issues found and recommending corrective and preventative actions to resolve them; and
  • Having the opportunity to work on short term and long term assignments on clients' premises.
