Job summary

Warner Scott Recruitment invites applications for an Audit Technical & Training Manager role based in London. The position focuses on delivering high‑quality technical guidance, learning programmes and audit methodology improvements across UK GAAP, IFRS and ISAs, with close collaboration to Partners, Directors and senior stakeholders.

You will develop and deliver technical training for staff and trainees, respond to technical queries, support audit quality initiatives and help shape the firm's

Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, ISAs (UK) and the FRC Ethical Standard.
  • Proven audit experience within a UK professional services environment, ideally at Manager or Senior Manager level.
  • Experience providing technical guidance, responding to audit queries or supporting audit methodology would be highly advantageous.
  • Previous experience designing and/or delivering technical training would be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to explain complex technical matters clearly.
  • Organised, proactive and passionate about audit quality, learning and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to audit and accounts teams across UK GAAP, IFRS and auditing standards.
  • Respond to technical queries and provide practical guidance to engagement teams.
  • Develop and deliver technical training programmes for both qualified staff and trainees.
  • Prepare engaging technical learning materials, CPD content and audit methodology updates.
  • Support the planning and delivery of national technical events, including audit conferences and Director/RI technical sessions.
  • Produce technical communications, guidance notes and firm-wide updates.
  • Work closely with Learning & Development to coordinate CPD programmes and monitor completion.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of audit methodology, technical resources and continuous improvement initiatives.

Audit Technical & Training Manager (London) - £70-75,000

A leading professional services firm is looking to appoint an experienced Technical & Training Manager to join its growing Audit Technical team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong audit professional to move into a high-profile role focused on technical accounting, audit methodology, professional training and audit quality within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

The Opportunity

This is a varied and rewarding position where you'll play a key role in supporting the firm's audit and accounts teams through the delivery of high-quality technical guidance, learning programmes and professional development initiatives.

Working closely with Partners, Directors and senior stakeholders across the business, you'll help shape the firm's technical training strategy, support audit quality initiatives and contribute to the continuous development of audit methodology and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities
