Job summary

Sumer Group in Newcastle-upon-Tyne is seeking an Audit Senior to supervise audit engagements on-site, with clear progression to Supervisory Audit Senior. The successful candidate will work closely with the audit manager and lead audits independently on-site.

Key responsibilities include planning, executing, and finalising audits for a range of clients, mentoring junior staff, and driving improvements in audit processes to boost efficiency and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with ACA/ACCA or equivalent.
• Experience leading audits from planning to completion.
• Strong understanding of regulatory obligations and quality standards.
• Experience identifying risks and implementing effective controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead audits independently on-site, supervising engagements.
• Plan, execute, and finalise audits across client base.
• Participate in meetings with clients and report to Manager/RI.
• Coach junior team members to develop technical and soft skills.
• Improve audit processes to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.
