Audit Senior - Hybrid and Flexi hours, Leicester

We are recruiting for an Audit Senior to work in Leicester, with the possibility of hybrid working after your probation. The office offers parking, and you will be part of a small team. We are looking for candidates with experience in practice or industry. This client offers excellent benefits, including flexi hours to suit your work-life balance, with Monday to Friday working 37.5 hours a week.

As the Audit Senior, you will be responsible for preparing accounts and audit assignments, reporting to the job manager. Working under the guidance of a manager or partner, you may supervise junior staff and will work within an agreed budget, using standard approaches set during the planning stage. You are expected to utilize your technical knowledge to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce an accounts/audit working file.
  • Conduct audit work according to agreed procedures.
  • Prepare an accounts/audit summary and discussion points for review.
  • Work within the budget set during planning.
  • If required, produce draft tax computations and provisions for inclusion in the accounts.
  • Include statutory disclosures as per the company checklist.
  • Represent the firm professionally in dealings with clients and other professionals.
  • Attend training to develop and maintain technical skills, working towards a professional qualification if not yet attained.
  • Supervise and support the development of junior staff.
  • Engage with clients on non-technical issues, such as debt collection, and participate in administrative activities like billing.
