Pro Finance is recruiting an Audit Senior / Audit Assistant Manager in Maidstone, Kent. The role suits a newly qualified ACA/ACCA auditor or a professional with up to two years PQE, handling a diverse portfolio from owner-managed to AIM-listed clients.

You'll work with managers and partners to own audit assignments, build client relationships, and mentor junior team members in a supportive environment. Strong technical knowledge and UK standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading external audits or significant audit fieldwork.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards.
• Ability to manage client relationships and senior stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Act as day-to-day client contact and build relationships.
• Prepare high-quality audit files and reports for review.
• Identify audit risks and areas needing professional judgement.
• Review financial statements and supporting docs.
• Monitor budgets and communicate variances.
• Deliver recommendations and audit findings to clients.
• Coach and mentor junior team members in the audit team.
• Support business development and cross-firm collaboration.
