Job summary

A well-established independent chartered accountancy firm in High Wycombe is seeking an experienced Audit Senior. In this role, you will manage audit engagements from planning to completion, supervise junior team members, and maintain strong client relationships. Ideal candidates have a minimum of 4 years' experience in public practice and either ACA or ACCA qualifications. Butler Rose Public Practice is pleased to be working with a well-established and ambitious independent chartered accountancy firm that is looking to recruit an Audit Senior to support their growing audit department.

You will play an integral role in managing the delivery of audit engagements and leading teams, while building strong client relationships and contributing to the firm's commitment to high-quality service and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead audit engagements from planning stage through to completion.
  • Prepare statutory accounts and ensure compliance deliverables are met.
  • Supervise, coach, and review the work of junior audit team members.
  • Manage client relationships, understanding their business and priorities.
  • Coordinate project timelines, ensuring efficient and timely delivery.
Key Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a public practice audit environment.
  • Ideally qualified or part-qualified (ACA, ACCA)
  • Experience on audit software
  • Proven leadership capabilities and experience in managing audit teams.
