Audit Senior

Location: Farnham, Surrey

Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 plus excellent benefits package - full-time or part-time hours with hybrid and flexible working options

Our client is a top 50 accountancy practice providing expert solutions for entrepreneurial businesses and private individuals in Central and Southern England. We are seeking an Audit Senior to join the Farnham Audit team. Candidates should be ACCA / ACA qualified or nearing qualification, with some practice experience. This is a permanent role, available on a full-time or part-time basis, with hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead a variety of complex audit assignments across multiple sectors, liaising with managers and partners as needed.
2. Prepare audit files, undertake audit planning, and lead or assist with fieldwork.
3. Assist in work allocation and supervise junior team members, providing support, training, and reviewing their work.
4. Ensure audits are completed to high standards, on time, and within budgets.
5. Use accounting software to provide accurate reports for Managers, Directors, and clients.
6. Prepare statutory accounts and finalize accounts under supervision.
7. Prepare corporation tax computations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• ACCA / ACA qualified or nearing qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years UK audit practice experience, with some accounts experience.
• University degree with at least a 2:1 or minimum of 3 A-Levels (A, B, B or above).
• Experience with Xero, Sage, Caseware, and CCH is advantageous.
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, with the ability to quickly learn new software.
