Christopher Brian Recruitment Limited is partnering with a well-established Brighton accountancy practice to recruit an Audit Semi-Senior. You will work on varied audits, progressing from planning to completion and taking increasing ownership of engagements.

The role offers hybrid working with flexible hours, full ACA/ACCA study support, a clear progression path toward Audit Senior, and a friendly, supportive team with strong technical exposure and ongoing mentoring.

Qualifications

• UK accountancy practice experience is essential.
• 1-3 years of audit experience ideal, studying ACA/ACCA.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with audits from initial planning through to completion.
• Completing audit fieldwork across a varied client portfolio.
• Preparing audit working papers and documentation.
• Liaising directly with clients and requesting information.
• Identifying and discussing audit issues with senior team members.
• Supporting and gradually supervising junior members of the team.
• Assisting with statutory accounts where required.
• Taking responsibility for more complex audit areas as you develop.

Job description

In this role, you'll work on a variety of audit assignments for clients across different sectors, getting involved in planning, fieldwork and completion while progressing towards taking greater ownership of engagements.

We're working with a well-established accountancy practice in Brighton that's looking for an Audit Semi-Senior to join its growing team.

It's a great opportunity for someone who's already gained some audit experience and wants to join a firm where they can continue studying, build their technical knowledge and gradually progress towards leading assignments.

The Role

You'll work closely with experienced Seniors and Managers, with responsibilities including:

• Assisting with audits from initial planning through to completion

About You

We're keen to hear from candidates with previous audit experience within a UK accountancy practice.

Around 1-3 years' experience would be ideal, and you may already be studying towards ACA/ACCA. The firm can provide study support alongside plenty of practical experience to help you progress towards Senior level.
