RSM UK is offering a school/college leaver apprenticeship in External Audit. You will help audit teams review clients’ financial records, processes and controls, contributing to accurate financial statements and stakeholder confidence.

You’ll begin studying toward the Chartered Accountant qualification from day one and will sit exams early in the program, with extensive support from the firm.

• Minimum 112 UCAS points across three A levels (or 104 across four Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers, or an Irish Leaving Certificate).
• Existing, permanent right to live and work in the UK for this role.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.

You’ll work with audit colleagues to conduct thorough, risk-focused reviews of clients’ financial records, processes, and controls. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of financial statements and building trust and confidence among stakeholders.

You’ll start studying towards your Chartered Accountant qualification as soon as you join, and within the first few months you’ll have taken your first exams. Don't worry - you won't be doing it alone; we'll be with you every step of the way.

You’ll make an impact by:

• Becoming a key member of our team from day one, getting involved in client work quickly, initially as part of a larger team, before taking on individual responsibility for projects.
• Working with a wide variety of clients, ranging from owner managed businesses to large listed groups as well as charities, pension schemes and other not-for-profit organisations.

You’ll predominately be office based or at a client site, giving you the chance to build strong relationships with colleagues and get the support you need in the early stages of your career.
