Summary

Careers don’t start here – they take off. Are you ready to kick‑start your career in Audit in May 2026? This role is based in our East Midlands office and will begin in early May 2026. The assessment centres will take place on 28th January. You must have finished school or college to apply.

Wage

£22,500 a year. Salary increases year on year depending on how the student progresses.

Training Course

Accountancy or taxation professional (Level 7).

Hours

Monday – Friday, hours to be confirmed. CP offers flexible working hours. 38 hours a week.

Start Date

Monday 4 May 2026.

What you’ll do at work

Imagine working with a wide range of dynamic businesses, diving deep into their financials, and uncovering the stories behind the numbers. As an Audit Trainee you’ll dive into real projects from day one and will be part of a team that is as ambitious and curious as you are. You’ll work with our Audit team to deliver high‑quality audits that make a real difference.

  • Support audit fieldwork by reviewing financial documents such as invoices, bank statements, and payroll reports, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements.
  • Engage with clients to understand their systems and processes, attend year‑end stocktakes, and contribute to audit testing and reporting in small teams.
  • Deliver high‑quality work by managing deadlines, ensuring data accuracy, and collaborating with your team to meet client expectations.

You’ll be supported every step of the way by peers, mentors, and even our Partners. We’ll give you structure, but also the freedom to grow at your own pace.

  • Accountancy or taxation professional Level 7 (Master’s degree) Apprenticeship Standard.
  • The apprentice will attend their nearest Kaplan training centre for revision sessions, training and exams.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications

A‑Level in: at least one subject in either Math, Business, etc. (grade BBC). Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
