Job Description

Are you a people-focused professional with a strong background in food safety or health & safety auditing in the Restaurant/Hospitality/Food Service sector? Are you ready to take the next step in your career - whether that's into leadership or expanding your impact in a fast-paced, client-focused environment?

NSF is looking for an Audit Manager - Restaurant/Hospitality/Food Service to lead and support our dynamic team of auditors across the region. This is a key operational role focused on delivering high-quality audits, developing talent, and ensuring we meet our clients' expectations - on time, every time.

You'll be joining a purpose-led organisation with a strong reputation in public health and safety. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Audit EMEA, you'll play a pivotal role in managing audit delivery, supporting strategic growth, and developing a high-performing team.

This is a busy, high-responsibility role with lots of moving parts-from people management and client engagement to operational delivery and quality oversight. It's ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety, and is motivated by making a real impact.

Responsibilities

Including, but not limited to:

  • Lead a team of Restaurant, Hospitality, & Food Service auditors across the UK, ensuring timely, high-quality audit delivery.
  • Drive performance against KPIs including audit cadence, report timeliness, and auditor utilisation.
  • Conduct integrity and quality checks, providing feedback and training to improve consistency and performance.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of auditors.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and Senior Audit Manager to meet client expectations and support new business opportunities.
  • Manage costs and support financial targets through effective travel planning and resource allocation.
  • Deliver audits and field training as needed
  • Act as a key client-facing leader-supporting RFPs, tenders, and client meetings.
Qualifications
  • Experience in food safety or health & safety auditing, ideally in restaurant, hospitality, or food service environments.
  • People management experience is highly beneficial - but we're also open to senior auditors with strong industry knowledge, leadership potential, and a desire to grow.
  • Level 4 qualifications in Food Safety and Health & Safety (minimum requirement).
  • Comfortable working with data and systems-Excel proficiency and ability to learn internal tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the region.
