RSM UK in London is expanding its audit offering in banking and lending. As an Audit Manager, you will lead delivery of statutory audits for lending clients with a strong IFRS9 focus and manage a diverse portfolio.

You will mentor teams, support technical training, contribute to growth initiatives, and help develop IFRS9 audit methodologies while collaborating with national teams.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CA or equivalent qualification.
• Experience as Audit Manager with IFRS 9 expertise.
• Experience auditing ECL models for lending products.
• Background in banking, commercial or retail finance sectors with IFRS 9 audit methodology development.

Responsabilités

• Manage a portfolio of statutory audits in the lending sector with quality standards.
• Oversee staff, provide training, liaise with client staff and resolve key audit matters.
• Present at client audit committees and boards; support business development and scoping.
• Lead recruitment, line management and development of junior team members.

RSM is expanding its audit offering in the banking, building society, and lending sectors, focusing on both regulated and unregulated lenders. As an Audit Manager role in our banking and lending team, you will lead the delivery of audits for lending clients with a strong emphasis on IFRS9 whilst managing a diverse portfolio.

This leadership position includes developing and mentoring team members, supporting technical and training teams to build specialist expertise, and contributing to strategic growth initiatives while enhancing audit methodology. You’ll make an impact by

• Manage a portfolio of statutory audits in the lending sector, ensuring compliance with firm procedures and quality standards
• Oversee and brief staff on assignments, provide training, liaise with senior client staff, and resolve key audit matters in consultation with stakeholders
• Attend and present at client audit committees and board meetings, and supporting with business development, including scoping and pitching
• Lead recruitment, line management, sector-specific training, and development of junior team members, while participating in industry organizations.
• Collaborate with national technical and training teams to enhance audit methodology and training on IFRS9 and other technical areas impacting lenders

• ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent qualification
• Experienced Audit Manager with strong IFRS 9 expertise, particularly in accounting and auditing expected credit losses
• Practical experience auditing ECL models for retail/consumer lending products such as mortgages, personal loans, credit cards, and consumer finance
• Background in banking, commercial, or retail finance sectors, with ability to develop or enhance IFRS 9 audit methodologies
• Proven leadership and project management skills, with experience leading teams and delivering complex assignments
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach
