Audit Manager

Butler Rose Public Practice are delighted to once again be supporting this highly regarded independent and growing firm of Chartered Accountants with offices based across North Hertfordshire that are now seeking a highly accomplished Audit Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a client portfolio, lead a talented team, and play a key role in the continued success of the practice.

Role Requirements

• Manage, operate and grow a successful and profitable diverse portfolio of clients.
• Schedule, plan and complete audits independently from planning through to completion.
• Ensure audit recoverability and profitability across all portfolios.
• Manage, develop and motivate an audit team, ensuring efficiency, technical development, and strong client service.
• Maintain the highest standards of compliance across the practice.
• Identify and manage risk matters affecting the business.
• Provide monthly reporting on turnover, profitability, chargeable time, and recoverability.
• Offer ad hoc support to the Audit Director as required.

Person Requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualified (QBE or finalists will also be considered) with experience gained at a manager level role in audit working for a UK based firm.
• Experienced in leading audits from planning to completion.
• Technically strong in audit and accounting, with corporate tax knowledge desirable.
• Skilled in building strong client relationships and delivering exceptional service.
• A clear communicator, both written and verbal, with the confidence to advise and influence at all levels.
