Job summary

RSM UK is seeking graduates for its External Audit graduate programme to build a foundation in risk-focused reviews of clients' financial records, processes, and controls.

You’ll join audit colleagues from day one and begin studying toward the Chartered Accountant qualification with full support from the firm. Expect exposure to a wide range of clients—from owner-managed businesses to large listed groups and not-for-profits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of UCAS points: 112 across three A levels (or 104 across four Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers) or Irish Leaving Certificate
• Honours degree (achieved or predicted)
• Right to live and work in the UK on a permanent basis
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to analyse and interpret data
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Interest in business and commerce with solid organisational and time-management skills
• Willingness to travel to client sites and other offices

Responsibilities

• Join audit teams and contribute to client work from day one.

You’ll work with audit colleagues to conduct thorough, risk-focused reviews of clients’ financial records, processes, and controls. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of financial statements and building trust and confidence among stakeholders.

You’ll start studying towards your Chartered Accountant qualification as soon as you join, and within the first few months you’ll have taken your first exams. Don't worry—you won't be doing it alone; we’ll be with you every step of the way.

You’ll make an impact by:

• Becoming a key member of our team from day one, getting involved in client work quickly, initially as part of a larger team before taking on individual responsibility for projects.
• Working with a wide variety of clients, ranging from owner managed businesses, through to large listed groups as well as charities, pension schemes and other not-for-profit organisations.

You’ll predominantly be office based or at a client site, giving you the chance to build strong relationships with colleagues and get the support you need in the early stages of your career.
