Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking an Associate in Data Strategy and Analytics within Internal Audit. You will design and deploy data pipelines and models to support third line assurance, collaborating with audit teams and data owners to deliver reliable, reusable data products.

You will build production-grade Python solutions, write SQL, and contribute to AI-ready data products while ensuring quality, documentation, and governance across data platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science, engineering or a related quantitative discipline.
• Hands-on proficiency in Python with Pandas/Polars/PySpark and testable code.
• Strong SQL proficiency and understanding of OLTP databases and performance.
• Strong data modelling and data warehousing knowledge.
• Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines and working with data-lake/lakehouse.
• Strong data analytics and problem-solving skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test and support production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines sourcing data for Internal Audit.
• Develop Python solutions using Pandas, Polars and PySpark.
• Write advanced SQL for data transformation and analysis across platforms.
• Design data models including dimensional modelling and slowly changing dimensions.
• Work with Snowflake and databases like DB2 and PostgreSQL.
• Implement data-quality checks, lineage, and tests to improve trust.
• Contribute to AI-ready data products and semantic layers.
• Collaborate with audit teams and data owners to meet requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, CI/CD and production support.
• Communicate progress and decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
