Audit Assistant Manager / Manager — A growing Birmingham-based accountancy firm is seeking an ambitious and driven senior auditor or audit manager to join their expanding team. This role offers the opportunity to help bring the current audit function in-house and further develop the firm’s service offering.

Responsibilities
  • Manage, or assist in managing, a diverse portfolio of audits across OMB, SME, and corporate clients.
  • Support and contribute to bringing the current audit function in-house and expanding the firm’s service offering.
  • Collaborate with Directors to build and lead a growing team over time.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • At least four years’ experience in audit, accounts preparation, and basic tax compliance within small, medium, or large firms.
  • Senior candidates should have strong commercial acumen to advise clients strategically, identify risks, and spot opportunities for additional services.
  • Proactive, hands-on professional with strong managerial potential, excellent client relationship skills.
  • Ideally ACA or ACCA qualified.
