Job summary

Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team is seeking an Audit Assistant to join our Financial Regulations team at Silverstone. You'll help ensure FIA Financial Regulations compliance while supporting governance, controls, and cost classification reconciliation within a high-performance racing environment.

The role involves collecting audit evidence, managing requests, performing sample testing, and collaborating with Finance Business Partners, HR, external auditors, and FIA.

Qualifications

• Qualified or actively pursuing ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience in audit environment with evidence gathering and working papers.
• Experience in high-pressure regulated environments (motorsport preferred).
• Strong understanding of audit processes, internal controls and bookkeeping.
• Proficient with Excel and ERP systems.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Collate audit evidence for FIA audits within deadlines.
• Manage audit request lists and follow up with departments.
• Conduct sample testing and document findings in working papers.

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Audit Assistant to join our Financial Regulations team at Aston Martin F1. This role is critical in ensuring our compliance with FIA Financial Regulations while supporting our mission to consistently compete at the highest levels of motorsport. You'll work at the intersection of finance, compliance, and high-performance racing, contributing to our governance framework and championship success.

Key Responsibilities

• Collate and maintain comprehensive, accurate audit evidence for internal, external, and FIA audits within strict deadlines
• Manage and track audit request lists, proactively following up with departments to ensure timely responses
• Conduct sample testing of transactions and controls under supervision, documenting findings in detailed audit working papers
• Maintain an organized filing system with clear audit trails for all Financial Regulations documentation
• Assist with preparing FIA submission data, including performing reconciliations and verifying cost classifications
• Monitor ongoing adherence to FIA regulations and internal financial policies, escalating any exceptions appropriately
• Contribute to promoting strong governance, control frameworks, and risk awareness across the organization
• Collaborate with Finance Business Partners, HR, External Auditors, and the FIA as needed

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Qualified or actively pursuing a finance qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
• Previous experience in an audit environment with practical knowledge of evidence gathering and working papers
• Experience working in high-level motorsport, regulated environments, or similar high-pressure sectors
• Strong understanding of audit processes, internal controls, and double-entry bookkeeping principles
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting or ERP systems
• Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Clear communication abilities and confidence engaging with colleagues at all levels
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and maintain composure under pressure
• Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and integrity with sensitive information
