What does our external audit team do?

We carry out a detailed, risk‑based review of a company’s financial records and control environment to form an opinion on whether the financial statements prepared by the directors are true and fair.

A robust audit challenges the financial operations of a company and improves its internal workings, providing confidence to stakeholders as the financial statements are the only public documents a company will issue.

What can you expect?

From day one you will be a key member of the team, working on client work quickly and gradually taking individual responsibility for projects. You’ll work with a wide variety of organisations, including listed financial institutions, national retail chains, high‑profile charities and international clients operating throughout the UK and beyond.

During the apprenticeship you’ll develop to the ACA qualification with the ICAEW, or your CA qualification with ICAS or CAI, while gaining top‑quality career development support and on‑the‑job training from senior members of the team.

Entry requirements

• 112 UCAS (new tariff) across 3 A Levels or an equivalent level 3 qualification, or 104 UCAS across 4 Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers (General Studies, AS levels or EPQ are not accepted).
• A predicted or obtained honours degree.

UCAS has changed its points system; under the old tariff the threshold would be 280 or 260 points respectively.
