Moore Kingston Smith in St Albans is offering an Audit Apprenticeship (AAT). You will gain hands-on experience across audit, accounts, and tax services, while studying for AAT Level 3/4 qualifications.

The two-year programme leads toward ACA after further study, with dedicated support and structured learning blocks. You’ll work with diverse clients, develop technical accounting skills, and participate in client meetings and audits with senior staff, while progressing through a formal training

Qualifications

• Open to students without a university degree.
• Structured two-year training contract with Level 4 apprenticeship.
• Study towards Level 3 and Level 4 AAT professional qualifications.
• UK work eligibility for at least 2 years from start date.

Responsabilités

• Develop a strong understanding of accounting principles and auditing guidelines.
• Attend client offices and represent the firm professionally as part of the audit team.
• Assist in planning audits, including reviewing prior year information and preparing lead schedules.
• Perform audit testing on key financial areas such as income, expenses, assets and liabilities.
• Prepare financial statements in line with relevant standards and legal requirements.
• Draft corporation tax computations and support tax-related audit procedures.
• Liaise with clients to gather documentation and support audit progress.
• Maintain accurate working papers and update client data in systems.
