We are partnering with a progressive and growing independent accountancy firm with offices in Berkshire and London to recruit an experienced Accounting & Audit Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and ambitious team that delivers high-quality, partner-led service to a varied portfolio of clients. The firm has a clear five-year growth strategy and is seeking driven individuals who want to play a key role in that journey.

About the Role

As a Manager in the Accounting & Audit team, you’ll take ownership of client assignments from planning through to completion, managing deadlines, team resources, and client expectations. You’ll be supported by senior managers and partners while also mentoring more junior colleagues and contributing to the development of a positive, high-performing team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of audit and accounting clients

Lead audit and accounts assignments, liaising directly with clients and internal stakeholders

Prepare and review complex financial statements and corporate tax computations

Support the training, development, and supervision of junior team members

Ensure compliance with all accounting and auditing standards

Identify opportunities to deliver additional services and add value to client relationships

Maintain strong, positive client relationships and deliver excellent service

What We’re Looking For:

ACA or ACCA qualified

Strong experience in both audit and accounts within UK practice

Excellent working knowledge of accounting standards, corporate tax, and VAT

Confident managing client relationships and leading assignments

Commercial awareness with a proactive approach to client service

Experience using CCH is desirable
