TPF Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing accountancy and advisory firm in Croydon, who are looking to recruit an Audit & Accounts Senior Manager to join their busy and supportive team.

This firm provides high-quality audit, accounts, and advisory services to a wide range of clients, including SMEs and entrepreneurial businesses. This role is ideal for an ambitious and experienced individual who wants to take a senior position with a strong focus on reviewing and mentoring staff.

About the Role

In this role, you will manage a portfolio of clients across audit and accounts assignments, ensuring the highest quality of service and accuracy in all deliverables. A key aspect of this role is reviewing the work of junior team members to ensure compliance, accuracy, and consistency.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing audit engagements from planning to completion
  • Preparing statutory and annual accounts for a diverse client base
  • Conducting thorough risk assessments and testing key controls
  • Reviewing, checking and signing off the work of junior staff, providing guidance and constructive feedback
  • Preparing management letters and reporting audit findings to clients
  • Coaching, mentoring, and supporting junior and mid-level team members to improve technical skills and efficiency
  • Maintaining and developing strong client relationships, providing proactive advice
  • Supporting Partners with client portfolios and business development opportunities
  • Ensuring compliance with professional standards, accounting regulations, and internal processes
  • Contributing to process improvements to drive efficiency and quality
Requirements

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • ACA or ACCA qualification, with desire to achieve RI status in the future
  • Substantial experience in audit and accounts within a practice environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and audit standards
  • Experience managing and mentoring junior team members
  • Excellent client-facing skills with a professional and proactive approach
  • Confidence in handling multiple client engagements and deadlines
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar
