Job summary

Insite Group in Harrow is seeking an Audit and Accounts Assistant Manager to take ownership of a diverse client portfolio with a strong audit focus and wider accounts work. The role offers progression as the firm grows and develops its people.

The successful candidate will have solid UK practice experience, ACA/ACCA qualification or nearing completion, and be comfortable mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or nearing qualification, with solid UK practice experience across audit and accounts.
• Experience in external audits within UK practice.
• Ability to manage assignments and client relationships.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP and statutory accounts.
• Comfortable reviewing work and mentoring juniors.
• Commercial mindset with advisory exposure.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver external audits from initial planning through to completion.
• Review audit work and ensure assignments are completed to a high standard.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts under UK GAAP.
• Support corporation tax and wider compliance work.
• Manage your own portfolio and keep assignments on track.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and become a key point of contact.
• Identify technical and commercial issues and discuss solutions with clients and senior colleagues.
• Review work completed by junior team members and provide constructive feedback.
• Support the development and mentoring of less experienced staff.
• Work alongside senior leadership on more complex and advisory-focused assignments.
