A healthcare provider in North Wales is seeking experienced Band 6 Specialist Audiologists or Clinical Scientists. The role involves providing specialist assessment and rehabilitation within clinical audiology services, working at Wrexham Maelor Hospital and Glan Clwyd Hospital. Applicants should have a BSc in Audiology or equivalent and strong communication skills. The salary is between £39,263 to £47,280 per year, with opportunities to support various audiology services.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two experienced and enthusiastic Band 6 Specialist Audiologists or Clinical Scientists to join our busy and friendly team in North Wales.
We are looking for dynamic and motivated individuals to undertake a key role in the development and delivery of our advanced Aural Rehabilitation and Tinnitus Services.
In addition, there may be opportunities to support the paediatric service and/or the North Wales Cochlear Implant Service, based at Glan Clwyd Hospital.
The posts will be based at Wrexham Maelor Hospital and Glan Clwyd Hospital. The roles will be performed in outpatient, domiciliary and/or in‑patient settings across the area served by BCUHB.
The Specialist Practitioner in Audiology will provide specialist assessment and rehabilitation within Clinical Audiology services. This will involve leading individual care planning and delivery as an Independent Practitioner. Additionally, the Specialist Practitioner will lead specific areas of scientific activity as allocated by more senior colleagues. This will include contribution to service development activity, audit, research and delivery of in‑house continuing professional development activity and inter‑agency work.
The specialist practitioner will contribute to the training and supervision of more junior colleagues and trainees.
This role involves travelling to other geographical areas so a UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is desirable.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
