  • Provide and assist with basic adult hearing aid rehabilitation and deliver the patient individual management plan (under indirect supervision).
  • Perform routine audiological investigations such as puretone audiometry for hearing aid reassessments, aural impressions and programming, and evaluation of hearing aid systems, including real‑ear measurements.
  • Assess needs, plan and implement appropriate rehabilitation strategies for new and existing hearing aid users.
  • Explain and advise on the intervention strategy, discussing decisions with patients or significant parties and amending when necessary.
  • Obtain suitable ear impressions for the manufacture of ear moulds and select appropriate moulds.
  • Select, test and acoustically fit the latest technology hearing aids to required protocols and procedures. Use the latest computerised systems to programme the specified hearing aid and fine‑tune amplification according to patient feedback and interpretation of outcome measures.
  • Provide a hearing aid maintenance and repair service, including cleaning, modification, repair or replacement, advice, basic counselling and instruction services.
  • Participate and assist with paediatric audiological assessments and support Audiology Practitioners when performing domiciliary visits for house‑bound patients.
