A regional healthcare provider in Wales seeks an Associate Practitioner in Audiology to support patient hearing management at Glangwili General Hospital. The role includes providing audiological services, assisting in hearing aid rehabilitation, and conducting routine assessments. Applicants should have a HECert in Basic Audiological Practice and relevant experience in audiology. Full-time permanent position with a salary between £27,898 and £30,615 annually.
The Associate Practitioner in Audiology will provide interventions with routine/non-complex hearing pathologies/disabilities for the county of Carmarthenshire as part of the Hywel Dda Audiology Service.
The post holder will be based at one of the main hospital locations but will be expected to travel between sites. The post will involve developing the individual care/management plan with appropriate accountability to the Audiologist.
The Associate Audiologist is not an independent practitioner, and it is anticipated that training, clinical supervision and mentoring will be planned during the normal schedule of the working day.
The Associate Practitioner will have obtained appropriate education, training and skills in hearing testing, fitting of hearing aids and working to locally and nationally agreed protocols in conjunction with scope of practice and accountability.
