Job summary

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking an Audiologist to join our Audiology Service across hospital and community settings. The post is based at Royal Glamorgan Hospital with travel to other sites as required.

You will deliver diagnostic assessments, hearing aid rehabilitation and ongoing support to adults, working within a multidisciplinary team to maximise patients' communication and quality of life. Welsh language skills are desirable.

Qualifications

• BSc Audiology and registration with RCCP or AHCS are required.
• Welsh language skills at Level 3 (speaking/listening) are advantageous for routine clinical conversations.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic assessment and hearing aid rehabilitation for adults.
• Perform audiological tests: pure tone, speech, tympanometry and otoscopy.
• Fit, program and verify hearing aids using standard prescription methods and verification (Real Ear).
• Offer counselling and rehabilitation advice to patients and families.
• Support service development, quality improvement and staff training.
• Travel between sites for outreach and community clinics.
