Are you passionate about audio, sound and technology? Do you have hands‑on experience with recording equipment, microphones, audio interfaces and DAWs? If so, join us at Meta’s world-class audio lab near Cambourne, west Cambridge, where you’ll capture and process cutting‑edge multimedia data to push the limits of human hearing and virtual audio experiences.
What you’ll be doing:
- Setting up and calibrating audio/video recording gear in bespoke acoustic spaces (anechoic chamber, configurable rooms)
- Capturing high-quality audio & video data with internal/external participants
- Processing the collected data with multimedia tools, scripts and command‑line workflows
- Collaborating with audio engineers, research engineers and system engineers in the Reality Labs Audio team
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in multimedia equipment setup & recording (microphones, speakers, audio interfaces, DAWs)
- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Interest in audio/sound (music production, recording hobby or experience)
- Bonus: experience with Python, Linux/command line, databases/spreadsheets, motion/position capture systems
