Job summary

Listers Group Limited is seeking a Vehicle Technician for its Audi Stratford-upon-Avon site. You will service, repair and diagnose vehicles to high standards in a busy workshop. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical knowledge and a full UK driving licence.

Basic salary up to £37,000 with OTE up to £42,000, plus benefits. Training on EV/Hybrid systems is provided, and you may work occasional Saturdays. Benefits include pension, discounts and staff programs.

Qualifications

• Must have or be working towards NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Electric/Hybrid vehicle qualification is advantageous.
• MOT License would be beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and diagnostics of vehicles in the workshop to high standards.
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs including suspension, steering, brakes, driveshafts and air conditioning servicing.
• Work on EV/Hybrid vehicles and use electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
• Complete service paperwork to manufacturer/brand standards.
• Collaborate with workshop team to share knowledge and learn.

Job description

Due to continuing growth, we are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join Listers Audi Stratford-upon-Avon. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00, 40-hour week (1 in 3 Saturday mornings, averages out at 41.5 hours per week).

Our exciting new pay plans provide excellent basic salaries & bonus which are reflective of each applicants experience and skillset. Basic Salary up to £37,000 with OTE up to £42,000 plus benefits.

Role And Responsibilities

• Our technicians are responsible for the servicing, repair and diagnostics of all vehicles in the workshop, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standard first time.
• The main responsibilities would include electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts and air conditioning servicing.
• Additional responsibilities may include repairs and maintenance on EV and Hybrid vehicles such as the use of electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on areas such as batteries, drive motor, auxiliary drive pack & control systems.
• You will have the ability to fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
• You will have a full understanding of Customer Satisfaction and its impact on the business.
• You will be trained and able to operate additional systems, such as video reporting i.e CitNOW.
• You also will be able to complete all service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
• Working closely with other members of the workshop team to constantly learn and share knowledge.

About You

• We consider candidates from all backgrounds who have experience working in the Automotive sector as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Motor Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, HGV Fitter, Auto Electrician, MOT Tester or Apprentice Vehicle Technician to join Listers.
• Whether you work at an independent garage, fast fit centre, car supermarket or main dealer, we would be interested in talking to you.
• As a minimum you will hold or working towards completion of your NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• An Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualification or certification would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
• MOT License would also be beneficial but not essential.
• Full UK Driving licence.
