Attendance Support Officer
Contract: Full-time, 36 hours per week, Term Time Only (plus inset days)
Start Date: January 2026

We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Attendance Support Officer to join our pastoral and administrative team from January 2026.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Attendance Officer and pastoral staff to promote excellent attendance and punctuality across the school. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and caring individual who enjoys working with young people and families, and who wants to make a real difference to students success and wellbeing.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the daily monitoring of student attendance and punctuality
  • Contact parents and carers regarding absences and lateness
  • Maintain accurate attendance records using the school s MIS system
  • Work with pastoral teams to identify patterns and support interventions
  • Contribute to attendance initiatives and reward programmes
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to attendance and pastoral care
About You
  • Experience of working in a school or similar environment (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Confident in the use of IT systems and Microsoft Office (experience with SIMS/Arbor an advantage)
  • Able to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
  • A calm, professional, and proactive approach to challenges
