Job summary

Ormiston Shelfield Community Academy in England is seeking an Attendance Officer to promote excellent attendance and punctuality. You will work closely with pupils, families and staff to remove barriers to learning and ensure pupils are safe and engaged.

At Ormiston Shelfield Community Academy we are looking to recruit an Attendance Officer who will play a key role in promoting excellent attendance and punctuality across the school. Working closely with pupils, families, and staff, the postholder will support children and families to remove barriers to attendance, ensuring pupils are safe, engaged, and able to access learning.

The Attendance Officer is responsible for monitoring and maintaining accurate attendance records, supporting families to improve pupil attendance, and implementing early interventions where concerns arise. The role also contributes to safeguarding processes, communicates attendance expectations clearly, and ensures compliance with attendance policies and procedures.
