Job summary

Gordano School in Bristol is seeking an Attendance Administrator to support the Attendance Officer with administrative tasks and first aid duties. You will engage with families to improve attendance and ensure pupils meet their legal responsibilities.

This permanent, full-time role is term-time only plus 5 INSET days, with hours 8:30am–4:30pm. Gordano School offers a contributory pension, staff assistance programme, and on-site facilities.

This has never been more evident than through our recent work in delivering our core principles of ‘Dream big, do your best, give back’, fostering a community filled with kindness and respect.**The Role**Working within the guidance of the Attendance Officer, to undertake a range of administration (including first aid) duties to improve attendance rates, reduce student absence and to engage with families to support them to ensure they fulfil their legal responsibilities.The hours for the role are:Monday – 8.30am – 4.30pm (with 30-minute unpaid lunch)Tuesday - 8.30am – 4.30pm (with 30-minute unpaid lunch)Wednesday - 8.30am - 4.30pm (with 30-minute unpaid lunch)Thursday - 8.30am - 4.30pm (with 30-minute unpaid lunch)Friday - 8.30am - 4.00pm (with 30-minute unpaid lunch)It is important that applicants recognise the safeguarding responsibilities that all adults in schools hold, and the checks that are needed to allow all adults in school communities to work there.
