A leading service provider company in Greater London seeks a Field Service Engineer to maintain and repair self-service devices at various client locations. You will need a mechanical background, experience with ATMs or similar hardware, and a customer service focus. The role offers a competitive salary, opportunities for overtime, and generous benefits including a pension scheme, holiday, and health plans. You will work rotational shifts, and a valid driving license is required.
Field Service Engineers provide support to our customers by carrying out maintenance on a range of self‑service devices based at banks, supermarkets, and independent stores.
Being in the field, you will work independently to resolve hardware and software issues with devices whilst being fully supported with all relevant training and over‑the‑phone technical support as required, as well as being provided with a company van (which can be used for personal mileage should you wish to opt in to this benefit), mobile, laptop and full training to enable you to work autonomously in the field. The main responsibilities of this role will be to maintain and repair technical hardware issues within customer estates (i.e., ATM machines, self‑service kiosks and lockers, to name a few), as well as diagnose system problems and repair them whilst keeping in line with service level agreements. You will need to provide excellent customer service and always remain professional when dealing with clients, ensuring you communicate accurately between all departments to provide smooth resolutions for our customers. You will attend training classes to ensure you are capable and confident at fulfilling service levels and you will need to be comfortable working both independently and within a team.
For this role we do require you to have some previous experience in a transferrable field such as working on ATMs, vending machines, mechanical experience or other such hardware, as well as a working knowledge of Windows‑based software. You have come from a customer‑facing role and must hold a full and valid driving licence. Our engineers work a 9‑hour day (1‑hour lunch) on rotational shifts that cover 7am‑7pm and 1 in 4 weekends.
Cennox offers a competitive salary as well as opportunities to earn overtime. As a guide, this can average an additional £4‑5k per year. Other benefits include 22 days holiday (plus bank holidays), access to pension scheme, 2× life assurance, healthcare plan, financial reward for refer‑a‑friend scheme and longevity within a growing company.
Please be aware all successful candidates for this position will be required to undergo a pre‑employment screening process, inclusive but not limited to: financial, criminal record and references.
