A major UK airport operator is seeking a Watch Manager to lead the Air Traffic Control team. Responsibilities include coordinating air traffic activities and responding to emergencies. The role Reporting directly to the Deputy Head of Air Traffic Services, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Air Traffic Control Officers and Air Traffic Control Assistants. As Watch Manager, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of Air Traffic Control. This includes the effective coordination of any airside or air traffic‑related activities during your watch, as well as providing an appropriate response to emergency incidents, in line with the Aerodrome Manual and MATS Part 2. You will play a key role in the smooth running of the business as part of the EMA Duty Management team, contributing to seamless trade, globally, and ensuring effortless travel experiences for our passengers.
As Watch Manager, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of Air Traffic Control. This includes the effective coordination of any airside or air traffic‑related activities during your watch, as well as providing an appropriate response to emergency incidents, in line with the Aerodrome Manual and MATS Part 2. You will play a key role in the smooth running of the business as part of the EMA Duty Management team, contributing to seamless trade, globally, and ensuring effortless travel experiences for our passengers. This is a people leadership role, and experience in managing teams within complex regulatory environments is essential. To succeed in this role, you must hold both ADI and APS ratings, with a minimum of five years' experience as an ATCO. Additionally, OJTI and Assessor ratings are required.
