Job summary

Westminster Council is seeking an experienced ASW Team Manager to lead one of our Adult Social Care Community Mental Health Locality Teams. The role is based at Westminster and focuses on high-quality care, governance, and service delivery within statutory frameworks.

You will oversee multidisciplinary staff, ensure Act compliance, and drive performance against targets while building strong NHS and voluntary sector partnerships.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership/management experience in Adult Social Care or Community Mental Health services.
• Strong knowledge of Care Act, Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Community Mental Health Locality Teams within Adult Social Care.
• Ensure compliance with the Care Act, Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
• Manage service performance against KPIs, quality standards and financial targets.
• Oversee a dual diagnosis function for complex mental health and substance misuse needs.
• Develop relationships with NHS partners, voluntary sector and other stakeholders.
• Provide professional leadership, supervision and support to social workers and multidisciplinary staff.

• Lead and manage Community Mental Health Locality Teams within Adult Social Care.
• Ensure compliance with the Care Act, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and associated legislation.
• Manage service performance against key performance indicators, quality standards and financial targets.
• Oversee a specialist dual diagnosis function supporting adults with complex mental health and substance misuse needs.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with NHS partners, voluntary sector organisations and other stakeholders.
• Provide professional leadership, supervision and support to social workers and multidisciplinary staff.

We require the following:

• Significant experience working with adults and older adults experiencing severe and enduring mental health conditions.
• Proven leadership and management experience within Adult Social Care or Community Mental Health Services.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Care Act, Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
• Experience of multidisciplinary partnership working.
