Our client is seeking a driven and experienced Assurance Auditor.
The role involves conducting audits and providing assurance across internal departments (IT, Design, Procurement), joint ventures, and 2nd & 3rd party external entities. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with ISO standards and contribute to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct internal, 2nd party, and 3rd party external audits within the organization, joint venture companies, and the supply chain.
- Audit against Information Management Systems (IMS) and ensure alignment with business processes in the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Monitor, support, and improve the application of business processes within the IMS.
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct audits across enabling functions, project delivery teams, joint venture companies (DJV), and supply chain partners.
- Perform audits in accordance with ISO guidelines for auditing management systems.
- Prepare and distribute detailed audit reports identifying conformity or non-conformity.
- Follow-up on audit findings by evaluating the effectiveness of corrective actions and verifying evidence of corrections.
- Continuously monitor and improve the Integrated Assurance Programme.
- Prepare regular reports against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and root causes for senior leadership.
- Contribute to professional development through performance reviews and training/coaching opportunities.
- Assign roles and responsibilities to observers and subject-matter experts during joint audits.
- Utilise a range of audit methods during combined Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management System audits.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Lead Auditor Accreditation with experience in ISO standards, preferably with IRCA certification.
- Experience in construction, ideally with a delivery contractor.
- Strong knowledge of Information Management Systems (IMS).
- Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships across all levels of a multi-discipline organisation.
- Experience managing quality and assurance within a highly regulated, complex multi-disciplinary industry.
- Proven track record of delivering audit programs in quality management systems.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to present findings to senior leadership teams.
- Degree or Diploma level qualification or equivalent.
- Membership of a relevant professional institution, such as MCQI, MIEMA, or CMIOSH.
- Full knowledge of management system standards.
Desirable:
- Experience in the Construction, Civil Engineering, or Railway Industry.
Contract: +6 months to perm
Pay: £-£ a day (PAYE)
Work arrangement: Hybrid (2 days from home)
