We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Associated Technical Expert HV to take a prominent role in supporting the best performance of our Offshore Wind farms enabling fossil free energy! Do you want to take part in our mission

In our Business Unit Offshore Wind we are responsible for developing constructing and maintaining Offshore Wind farms across Europe. For our UK portfolio in our O&M Delivery team we are now looking to hire an Associated Technical Expert HV to be based within the UK Regional Support team. Regional Support works to provide standardized site support to the operating offshore wind farms in the Region responsible for the first line support to the various sites and act as the liaison to Technical Support

What will you do

As Associated Technical Expert HV you are responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of substations (onshore & offshore) and the Wind Turbine Generators. You will be the first point of contact between Site and the Fast Response Plan HV-Team.

The Associated Technical Expert HV will operate maintain and troubleshoot all present technical system (mechanical and Electrical) on the substation and service related to HV on the turbines. You must provide safety supervision and technical guidance to work parties under his responsibility on the local asset but also on remote assets.

The Associated Technical Expert HV will act as a role model and lead assist prioritize prepare plan and schedule all work activities including administration of SAP (maintenance system) and must develop effective stockkeeping of critical spare parts with the aim of high availability of the assets.

Furthermore you will

• Maintain and structure technical site documentation and understanding of a variety of documents like VF OCPs Platform operation manuals RAMS;
• Maintain an awareness of common reoccurring faults found during service and report these observations to the Technical Engineer;
• Supervise and lead teams of internal and external Technicians carrying out HV service (WTG and OSS) ensuring a consistent high level of quality efficiency and safety;
• Deliver technical training and where applicable act as Appointed Person or trainer in WTSR;
• Plan execute and report on all HV maintenance campaigns;
• You will be expected to work towards and achieve 132kV authorization as a SAP
• Play a key role on the Authorization Committee and Electrical Safety Committee
• Develop advanced service knowledge on all assets and develop annual maintenance and skills on sites;
• Enable and develop synergies across the region;
• Coordinate with HV Control Centre for technical support OM strategies lessons learnt legislative and regulatory compliance;
• Prepare project packages to the sites for implementation;

Location

The location of this position is flexible across the UK. Based at one of our operational sites (Ramsgate Ormonde Aberdeen) You will be required to travel regularly to all UK sites and occasionally abroad.

Next to this you bring

• A Electrical Engineering Electrical Technician background or similar;
• Relevant work experience as HV Engineer;
• Minimum 33kV Senior Authorized Person Qualified;
• Strong drive to succeed and leadership skills;
• Familiar with operating SCADA systems and running HV systems.
• Operations & Maintenance knowledge and experience-preferable within the wind industry
• Project management experience;
• Advance IT-skills in general preferably with SAP;
• Fluency in English
