Job summary

Metis Search partners with a bulge-bracket investment bank to recruit for its Consumer and Retail team in London. The role offers meaningful responsibility and direct senior exposure from day one.

You will lead or support sell-side and buy-side M&A, build financial models, valuations, and client materials, and work closely with management teams, advisers and investors. Approximately 2.5–7 years' M&A experience in Consumer & Retail is desired, with exposure to Food & Bev, Leisure and Retail, and

Qualifications

• 2.5–7 years experience in M&A within Consumer and Retail
• Exposure across Food & Bev, Leisure and Retail
• Strong technical foundation in financial modelling and valuation
• Demonstrated transaction experience and ability to run workstreams independently
• Commercially minded, resourceful, and able to work in small teams
• Clear and confident communicator with strong presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Lead or support the execution of sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions within the Consumer and Retail space
• Produce financial models and valuations (DCF, LBO, comps)
• Prepare high-quality client presentations, information memoranda, and marketing materials
• Develop relationships with management teams, advisers, and investors to support origination
• Manage or conduct financial and commercial due diligence with external advisers
• Work on strategic advisory and transaction execution and manage workstreams

Metis Search are currently partnered with a Bulge-Bracket Investment bank who are looking to add individuals in to their Consumer and Retail team in London.

This role offers meaningful responsibility, direct senior exposure, and the chance to take ownership on high-profile transactions from day one.

Responsibilities:

• Lead or support the execution of sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions within the C&R space
• Produce financial models and valuations, including DCF, LBO, and comparable approaches.
• Prepare high-quality client presentations, information memoranda, and marketing materials.
• Develop relationships with management teams, advisers, and investors to support origination efforts.
• Manage or conducting financial and commercial due diligence processes, working closely with external advisers to assess risks and value drivers.
• Working on strategic advisory and transaction execution & managing workstreams.

Candidate Profile

• Approximately 2.5 - 7 years experience in M&A within Consumer and Retail
• Exposure across Food and Bev, Leisure and Retail
